Flights Across the Pond

The flights where good for the most part. I checked-in a flash, security at O'hare was easy for the most part, everything they instructed I already knew. I sat next to Elizabeth to the flight to London, and saw 3/4 movies during the flight. Catagion, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Colombiana, and some other one that was very boring but decided to watch it because it had Abe Lincoln association trial. Contagion was probably the wrong movie to watch on a plane! Interestingly enough it brought up valid points, and made me reflect what I would do to be safe and cured if such disease where to arise. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was not the best movie produced, it was good in the sense that well monkeys are taking over the world (or San Francisco in this case), but as a prequel does not answer the first movie. I had to assume certain things, and I prefer a movie that is clear cut and defining especially when it is a prequel. The other two were okay if you are into action and history. All in all the flight from Chicago to Madrid took 6 hours and 55 minutes, a whole hour earlier then expected. Heathrow was nice, a lot of walking and for connections very clear cut and to the point (How I like it!!) Spent most of the time in Terminal 5 seemed more like a mall rather than an airport. It was such a great thing to see people of all cultures in one place, not just the British Airways staff but also the staff, customs, and people traveling. I really loved it, London truly is the most diverse city in the world.

Flight from London to Madrid was great I had an exit row seat!! Lot's of leg room and the seats on BA recline much farther then there American counterparts. The purser and flight attendants where very kind and attentive. Arrival in Madrid was a headache, there where no indications of where to go if connecting!! I was completely lost! Finally after asking a rude Iberia representative, the group and I found a maze literally a maze we went up and down, rode a train, it was worse then London.

Finally got everything situated and were informed our gate to Santiago. The flight from Madrid to Santiago has to be the worst flight I have ever taken. It was so cramped!!! That was not American economy! Either way arrived in Santiago safe and sound. A bit tired but that was that.
